Create Ads in ChatGPT with NEXT U: Setup and Workflow

Check account and workspace availability first

OpenAI's connection guide uses developer mode for custom MCP connections. Availability depends on account and workspace policy. Check Developer mode under Security and login in ChatGPT settings. If it is unavailable, consult the official guide or your workspace administrator. A NEXT U account does not unlock ChatGPT features; you can continue the project on the NEXT U website.

Connect NEXT U and authorize your account

Connection URL: https://nextu.studio/api/mcp. This connects the existing remote service; it does not imply a listing in the public plugin directory.

1. Following the official guide, add a connection in ChatGPT Plugins and enter NEXT U and the full server URL. Interface labels may change.
2. Sign in on the NEXT U authorization screen and review the access requested. Do not paste passwords or authorization credentials into the conversation.
3. Confirm the tools load, open a new chat and add the connection from the tools menu. Ask it to list your projects first to check that you are using the right account.

Provide a product URL or an existing project

Use a publicly accessible product URL, or upload assets on the NEXT U website first and select an existing project in the same account. The remote connection cannot read files on your computer. Attaching a photo in ChatGPT does not automatically save it to a NEXT U project.

Name the project or provide its ID, then specify verified product details, audience, language, image or video, and aspect ratio. If a product page cannot be read or its assets are unsuitable, prepare the project on the website before proceeding.

Request a direction and estimate before generation

Adapt this example to your own project. Confirm the project selection and ask the assistant to stop before paid media generation so you can review the copy, scenes and cost.

Use NEXT U to continue my Product Ad project. Prepare a portrait ad for commuters in English. Check the product details and assets, then propose copy and scenes. Show estimates for images, video and music, total credits, my balance and warnings. Ask for missing inputs. Do not generate paid media until I confirm.

Read estimates, missing items and credit charges

Ask for an estimate, balance and warnings before generating. Missing video scenes or settings can leave items out of the estimate. A zero or a warning means you should complete the inputs and estimate again before approving generation.

Credits are deducted when generation starts; failed generations are refunded automatically.

1 credit = US$0.01 is a unit value, not the price of an image or a finished ad. Usage depends on the assets, settings and additional generations. Check the current estimate and credit packs first.

Copy and scripts written by your AI assistant and saved to the project do not consume NEXT U credits. Your ChatGPT or other client subscription and usage fees are separate.

Generate, review and download

After approving the estimate, ask the assistant to generate the required media and check each job's status. Submission is not completion. Review the images and video scenes before requesting the final edit. Check which revisions require another paid generation.

Ask for result links, or sign in to the same NEXT U account on the website and open the project to continue, preview and download. If a link expires, retrieve it again from the project. Verify copy, product consistency, faces and asset permissions before publishing.

Images offer 1K, 2K and 4K options; finished video is downloadable as MP4 along with production assets. Choose portrait or landscape before generating. A video has one aspect ratio; another version requires a separate creation and cost check.
